Joan Wright, Oboe

Joan Wright is principal oboist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and maintains a busy teaching schedule both in her private studio and at Goshen College. Prior to her work with the Philharmonic she was an oboist with the orchestras of the Houston Ballet and Opera. Joan holds a Master of Music degree from Rice University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music. Her teachers include John Mack, Robert Sprenkle and Patricia Stenberg. She has participated in the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds and the American Institute of Music and has been with the Chatauqua Symphony Orchestra in New York for the past 15 summers. |
